Membership Terms
Effective date: July 31, 2026
These Membership Terms apply to Paper Pals memberships. By starting or using a membership, you agree to these terms.
1. What the membership is
Paper Pals membership is a retail customer membership.
Its main purpose is to give members access to member pricing on eligible Paper Pals products.
The membership is not a payment for a link, a sign-up or a guaranteed reward. Reward participation is an optional additional feature governed by the separate Reward Terms.
2. What membership includes
An active Paper Pals membership gives the account holder access to member pricing on eligible Paper Pals products.
Paper Pals currently lists its reusable bamboo paper-towel roll at $25 retail and $10 for members.
Product selection, product cost and member prices may change over time.
Member pricing applies only while the membership is active and the account is in good standing.
3. What “members pay what we pay” means
For an eligible product, the listed member price is intended to match Paper Pals' current product cost, with no retail markup added to that product price.
The following amounts are separate unless checkout clearly states otherwise:
- the membership fee;
- shipping;
- taxes;
- duties;
- payment-processing charges; and
- optional services.
Paper Pals' product costs may change. When they do, member prices may also change.
The price shown before you place an order is the price that applies to that order.
4. Monthly membership
Unless you have a valid Founding 50 membership, membership costs $40 CAD per month, plus applicable taxes.
The membership renews automatically each month using the payment method saved to your account until you cancel it.
Before you confirm the membership, checkout will show the price, billing frequency and applicable taxes.
5. No required monthly product order
Membership does not require you to place a product order every month.
You choose what to buy and when to buy it.
A product repeats automatically only when you separately select an auto-delivery option and agree to its price and delivery schedule.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel a paid monthly membership at any time through your account or by contacting Paper Pals.
Cancellation stops future membership renewals.
Unless the law requires otherwise:
- membership benefits continue until the end of the current paid billing period;
- the current membership fee is not prorated; and
- cancelling the membership does not automatically cancel or refund a product order already placed.
7. Failed payments and inactive memberships
If a membership payment fails, Paper Pals may retry the payment and may pause member pricing and reward access until the account is brought current.
A paused, expired, cancelled or unpaid membership is not active.
An inactive membership does not receive active-member pricing or active-member reward benefits.
8. Founding 50 membership
The Founding 50 offer is limited to the first 50 eligible customers who complete the qualifying one-roll purchase through the Founding 50 offer.
For an approved Founding 50 account:
- the regular $40 monthly membership fee is reduced to $0;
- products, shipping and taxes are still charged separately;
- the benefit belongs to the original account holder;
- the benefit is not transferable;
- the benefit has no cash value; and
- the account must remain in good standing.
“Free for life” means that the original approved account is not charged the monthly membership fee while the Paper Pals membership program continues to operate and the account remains in good standing.
It does not mean free products, free shipping, guaranteed product availability or cash value.
Founding 50 status is not lost simply because the member does not place an order.
Founding 50 status ends if:
- the account is permanently deleted;
- the benefit was obtained through fraud, duplicate accounts or chargeback abuse;
- the member transfers or sells the account; or
- Paper Pals ends the status because of a material breach of these terms.
9. Account use
Membership is for personal or household use unless Paper Pals agrees otherwise in writing.
You may not:
- resell membership access;
- transfer the membership to another person;
- share one account between unrelated households;
- create duplicate accounts to obtain promotions; or
- use member pricing for unauthorized commercial resale.
You are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for activity completed through your account.
10. Rewards
Rewards are governed by the separate Reward Terms.
A membership purchase does not create a reward by itself and does not guarantee compensation.
No reward is paid for a link click, account creation, free-sample claim or unpaid sign-up.
Rewards may arise only from properly attributed, qualifying active customer memberships.
Sharing is optional.
11. Refunds
Membership fees are not refundable after they are billed, except where:
- Paper Pals charged you in error;
- the law requires a refund; or
- Paper Pals agrees otherwise in writing.
Product returns and shipping issues are governed by the Shipping & Returns Policy.
12. Changes to membership
Paper Pals may add, remove or change products, member prices, features or membership terms.
Where a change materially affects a paid recurring membership, Paper Pals will provide reasonable notice before the change takes effect.
You may cancel before the next renewal if you do not agree with the change.
13. Ending or limiting access
Paper Pals may suspend or end a membership for:
- fraud;
- abuse;
- unlawful conduct;
- repeated chargebacks;
- unauthorized resale;
- security concerns; or
- a material breach of these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
