Terms of Use
Effective date: August 12, 2026
These Terms of Use apply to the Paper Pals website at paperpals.io and to any page, feature or service on it. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Separate terms apply to specific things you can buy or join:
- the Membership Terms govern a Paper Pals membership;
- the Reward Terms govern the rewards program;
- the Shipping and Returns Policy governs orders and returns; and
- the Privacy Policy governs personal information.
If those terms conflict with these ones on a specific subject, the more specific terms apply to that subject.
1. Who we are
Paper Pals is a Canadian retailer of reusable bamboo paper products, operating from Richmond, British Columbia.
In these terms, we, us and Paper Pals mean Paper Pals. You means the person using the site.
2. Who may use the site
You must be the age of majority in your province or territory to buy from the site or hold an account.
The site is intended for customers in Canada. We do not represent that the site or its products are appropriate or available anywhere else.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your password private.
You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Tell us as soon as possible if you believe someone else has used your account.
One person may hold one account. Accounts may not be sold, shared or transferred.
4. Orders and pricing
Placing an order is an offer to buy. An order is accepted when we send an order confirmation or ship the products, whichever happens first.
The price shown before you place an order is the price that applies to that order.
Prices, product availability and member pricing may change over time.
Errors happen. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price, or is unavailable after an order is placed, we may cancel the order and refund it in full. We will tell you if that happens.
Products are for household use. Purchases for resale are not permitted without our written agreement.
5. Product information
We try to describe products accurately, including sheet counts, dimensions and expected number of washes.
Figures such as about 10 washes a sheet and over 500 uses a roll are typical results based on normal household use and care. Actual results vary with what a sheet is used for, how it is washed and how it is dried.
Colours on a screen can differ from the product in your hand.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- use the site for anything unlawful;
- interfere with the site, its security or its availability;
- attempt to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours;
- scrape, copy or harvest the site or its content by automated means without our written permission;
- submit false, misleading or fraudulent information; or
- use the site to send unsolicited messages.
7. Content you submit
If you post a review, a photo, a comment or any other content, you confirm that it is yours to share and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
You keep ownership of what you submit. You give Paper Pals a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and reproduce it in connection with the business, including in marketing.
We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading, offensive or off topic.
Reviews are published as written by customers. We do not edit a review to change its meaning and we do not remove a review because it is negative.
8. Our content
The Paper Pals name, logo, site design, photography, illustrations, copy and other materials are owned by Paper Pals or used with permission.
You may view and share the site normally. You may not copy, reproduce or use our content commercially without our written permission.
9. Referral links
Members receive personal referral links. How rewards arise, and when they do not, is set out in the Reward Terms.
Referral links may not be used for spam, paid search on the Paper Pals brand, misleading claims, fake accounts or self-referral.
Do not describe Paper Pals as an income opportunity, a business opportunity or an investment. It is a retail membership.
10. Third-party services
The site uses third-party services, including payment processing, shipping carriers and email delivery. Their handling of your information is covered by our Privacy Policy.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or their practices.
11. Site availability
We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site, including products and features, at any time.
12. Disclaimers
Except where the law says otherwise, the site is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind.
Nothing in these terms limits any right, warranty, condition or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, including consumer rights under British Columbia and Canadian law.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Paper Pals is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the site.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability connected with an order is limited to the amount paid for that order.
This section does not apply to anything that cannot legally be limited.
14. Ending access
We may suspend or end access to the site or to an account for:
- fraud;
- abuse;
- unlawful conduct;
- repeated chargebacks;
- unauthorized resale;
- security concerns; or
- a material breach of these terms.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed.
Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated terms apply.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
